Kuopion Energia is upgrading its financial administration to a Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution – cooperation with Digia continues
The cooperation between Kuopion Energia and Digia began in 2016 with a financial administration project and the companies have continued to work closely together ever since. A new Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations project is starting in the summer of 2019.
Digia is providing Kuopion Energia with a new financial administration solution. The current Microsoft AX solution will be replaced with a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solution.
Kuopion Energia has been a customer of Digia since 2016 when the financial administration Dynamics AX 2012 R3 implementation project and integrations for the Biztalk platform were implemented for the company. The software automates and enhances financial, business information and supply chain management processes and supports business development. After a successful project, there was a transition to continuous service.
Kuopion Energia has been very satisfied with Digia’s project expertise and continuous service. Mutual trust developed during the first project provided by Digia. Good cooperation experiences led to Digia being selected to implement a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations implementation project.
“It was natural for Kuopion Energia to choose Digia to also implement our future financial enterprise resource planning solution with the latest Microsoft technology, ensure the continuity of our business and support the development of new services. We wanted to be a reliable partner who knows our business environment and needs”, Kuopion Energia’s Financial Director Eliisa Säntti describes.
The project will implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and the ExFlow purchase invoice recycling system. In addition, integrations will be implemented with Logic Apps technology, enabling the customer to utilise modern, state-of-the-art cloud technology and an up-to-date system without demanding update projects going forward. Cost-effectiveness is also sought with the system through enhanced work efficiency and process optimisation.
“Once again, Digia’s expertise has convinced the customer and enabled us to continue what was already good cooperation filled with trust. Thank you to the top professionals involved in the account”, says Maria Hintikka, head of the MS D365 business unit.
At more than 110 years old, Kuopion Energia has a long history in the city’s energy production. The Group employs about 150 people and has 58,000 electricity and 6,000 district heating customers.
