Coolcenter Forssa is a refrigeration industry company that operates out of Forssa in Finland. When Coolcenter Forssa was just starting up, the company urgently required a reliable and expert system provider to deliver an ERP, and therefore signed a contract with Digia. Digia’s Microsoft NAV-based end-to-end solution is ideal for this small business.

Coolcenter Forssa engages in small series production and the manufacture of specialised refrigeration equipment for the European market, and repairs and product modifications of refrigeration equipment. The company also directs electronic materials for recycling from a variety of manufacturing communities. The company has eleven employees. Its ERP covers customer relationship management, financial administration, purchases and accounts receivable, and material management. Coolcenter Forssa’s founders, Kauko Korko and Sauli Hakala, together have more than forty years’ experience in the refrigeration industry. Before seeking a contractual partner, they were fully aware of the requirements that their business would place on an ERP.

Korko says that, on the basis of his previous experience in the industry, the benefits and importance of acquiring an ERP were clear. But they didn't want to begin with an overly narrow package.

“And the system has already paid for itself. It's a vitally important tool in areas such as sales and purchase order management, calculating product costs, forecasting delivery times and capacity, and inventory management. The system gives us reliable and up-to-date information: it saves time and helps us to provide our customers with even better service. In the future, we’ll also be adapting the ERP for use in production planning,” says Korko. Korko has plenty of praise for Digia’s flexibility, willingness to be of service, and expert knowledge.
