A flexible system and an expert partner make for a rapid ERP project

Mariachi Oy needed a new ERP system covering a diverse range of functions. The company opted for a Microsoft Dynamics NAV system, which was deployed in record time.

Mariachi Oy is a Turku-based contract manufacturer in the electronics industry, supplying comprehensive services in the areas of industrial electronics, data communications and health care technology, from product development to contract manufacturing and maintenance. Digia supplied the company with a new enterprise resource planning system based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

ERP deployment in record time

Mariachi’s demanding and diverse electronics business will be managed using an overall solution based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which covers production control, financial management, production management, warehouse processing, maintenance and customer relationship management. The schedule called for the project to be executed in record time, in less than two months.

Digia was the principal system supplier, and it also supplied the hardware and server platform for the solution in collaboration with its partners, Enter System Solutions Oy and Mediatraffic Oy.

Mariachi’s Managing Director, Pasi Hatakka, says that Digia’s overall solution represents a significant step for the company’s operations, and he is very satisfied with the efficiency of the project.

Product traceability plays an important role

The system was adapted to suit Mariachi’s business needs, including expectations concerning the traceability of products.

“Medical devices must have serial and batch numbers, and electronics must also be traceable. A functional ERP system is an essential tool for meeting stringent monitoring requirements,” Hatakka says.

In addition to the rapid deployment, the benefits and savings of the new system will be substantial over the coming years.
