Diversification of operations through communication between the online shop and PIM

VILPE is a modern, growing Finnish construction company that develops and manufactures roof accessories for the needs of modern construction. Digia implemented a closed, international B2B online shop for VILPE. The online shop serves as the company’s product catalogue in several countries. We also implemented a PIM system, which brought the product selection of VILPE to the company’s website easily, flexibly and cost-effectively. In the solution, the online shop is integrated with the company’s ERP system in addition to the PIM system.

We presented the product information management challenge to a local IT expert, who recommended inRiver’s PIM system for the back-end marketing system. We now have the support and expertise of a trusted local partner close at hand, in addition to a flexible system that can be used to communicate our product selection to our customers in a variety of ways. We started the project with the website, but we will also be using inRiver for the production of marketing materials in the future. We also value always having up-to-date information on all terminal devices.
