"In the Business Applications category, we reward a partner who has produced innovative, AI-based business solutions for their customers and grown their own Business Applications business," says Tarja Jernström, Commercial Partner Lead at Microsoft.
Jarkko Savolainen, Vice President of Digia's Microsoft Dynamics 365 business, sees a simple recipe behind the partnership award. "Our projects have been successful, and the customers are satisfied. The collaboration with Microsoft is excellent," he lists.
"The business is growing and developing all the time. In recent years, we have increased the share of Azure cloud business alongside the more traditional Dynamics business and built capabilities to deliver entities internationally. A good example of this is our customer relationship with Walki: the new ERP system was implemented in several other European countries before it was finally implemented in Finland," Savolainen says.
One of the satisfied customers is Oomi, a joint venture between ten Finnish energy companies. In its system renewal, Oomi wanted to emphasise reliability, functionality and capabilities for acquisitions, internationalisation, and other reforms.
"Digia came to the fore quite quickly. The company had good references and a lot of experience with such systems. Digia is also an important partner for Microsoft," says Piia Passila, CFO of Oomi.
The implementation of the system was a great success.
"The progress of the project was well controlled throughout. There were no major challenges or problems at any point in the project. We stayed on schedule, and the workloads and budget were slightly undercut," Passila says.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 business platform is undergoing major changes with The Copilot AI.
Jarkko Savolainen says that as Microsoft's Inner Circle partner, Digia has good visibility into Microsoft's development plans, and "it looks really good". Inner Circle is Microsoft's global partner network, to which only about one per cent of all Microsoft partners worldwide are invited based on sales achievements.
"Microsoft Dynamics AI automation will really change ERP processes. The significance of The Copilot is growing, and it can be used in the future, for example, to manage process entities. This significantly improves the efficiency of organisations and helps people in their work. Those customers who have chosen Dynamics 365 are pioneers," Savolainen says.
"The AI revolution is underway, and AI is already transforming Finnish companies. 2024 is a turning point; now is the last moment to get involved. ERP systems play a key role in using artificial intelligence, as ERP is connected to companies' core processes. I believe that it is precisely by introducing artificial intelligence into ERP solutions that we can find keyways to utilise artificial intelligence to benefit business the most," says Timo Levoranta, CEO of Digia.
"We are pleased that Microsoft sees Digia's investment in the partnership and appreciates our long-term cooperation," Levoranta says.
