Pasi Ropponen, who has served as Digia's Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing since 2022, was appointed as Head of the Digital Solutions business unit at the beginning of August 2026.
Ropponen has served as Acting Head of the unit since April 1, 2026, and has extensive experience in business management positions in the IT sector.
"The past period has strengthened my view of the unit's strong competence base, good customer relationships, and employee commitment. At the same time, the challenging market situation and customers' changing purchasing behavior require us to boldly expand our operations and make even better use of AI, both in our everyday lives and in our customer work. It is inspiring to start building this change together with the Digital Solutions team, now from a slightly new role," Ropponen says.
The goal of the Digital Solutions business unit is to make AI and data a stronger part of customers' business-critical systems and digital services. At the same time, new productized and easily scalable solutions are being developed.
"We want to create growth for our customers through intelligent digital services. In the future, we will combine digital services, data platforms, and secure 24/7 operations even more closely into a service package that supports our customers' digital business throughout its lifecycle," he adds.

Ropponen will continue in his new role in Digia's Management Team and report to President and CEO Timo Levoranta. The recruitment of a new Sales and Marketing Director has been initiated.
