Tero Palokangas has been appointed as Vice President, Defence & Security, at the software and service company Digia on 1 April 2026, following his predecessor Harri Suni, who returned to international duties.

He will transfer from the Head of C4ISR division position at the Finnish Defence Forces Joint Systems Centre to the new position.

Digia's operations in several European countries, together with subsidiaries with particularly strong data, AI, and integration expertise, provide a strong foundation for international growth.
"International growth requires active work and the building of appropriate collaborative ecosystems. Finnish expertise is valued worldwide. It will remain a solid foundation for operations. Enabling data-based, AI-supported multi-domain operations (MDO), which the alliance aims to achieve, is such a complex undertaking that no one can manage it alone, neither in Finland nor elsewhere. There will be strength in cooperation in the future as well," Palokangas says.
