Trimble Forestry Europe expands its NetSuite solution

Trimble Forestry Europe wanted to introduce NetSuite’s financial management solution. Digia had already provided NetSuite to two of Trimble Forestry Europe’s companies, and so it was easy to choose both the technology and a partner on the basis of these positive experiences.

 

Digia’s NetSuite team provided Trimble Forestry Europe with NetSuite’s OneWorld financial management solution.

“We create IT solutions for the forestry industry that make working easier and more efficient,” says Trimble Forestry Europe’s CFO Leena Kelhu.

“The earlier implementations of financial management solutions at Trimble Forestry Finland and Silvadata, which joined the Trimble Group, gave us a good idea of both NetSuite as a solution and the expertise of the Digia NetSuite team’s SKY unit. When three of our companies merged into one, we also needed to standardise our financial administration systems. This was carried out in stages. The Digia NetSuite team was able to do this both to our desired schedule and within budget,” she says.

“Although we are heavily involved in the software business ourselves, we wanted to continue with our chosen policy of relying on the world’s leading cloud-based financial management. Let the cobbler stick to his last,” she adds, laughing.

NetSuite OneWorld supports the use of standardised processes in different countries

NetSuite OneWorld provides a standardised, real-time global business management platform for international companies with subsidiaries. OneWorld helps multinational companies to streamline their subsidiaries’ operations and provides real-time transparency at local, regional and head office levels. With the aid of NetSuite Oneworld, companies can develop standard business processes and introduce them at all of their subsidiaries and business units with ease.

“We want to ensure that best practices and standard processes are used at all of our locations around the world, as this will help to increase productivity and profitability,” says Leena Kelhu.

Broader-scale interest in NetSuite

“The Forestry division relies solely on Oracle-compatible solutions,” says the division’s CFO Darcy Bennett.

“The implementations in Finland have now awakened our interest in NetSuite on a broader scale,” he says.

Always choosing the best option for the customer

As the customer was satisfied with their current operational management systems, the Digia NetSuite team decided on the NetSuite OneWorld solution for financial management, even though NetSuite offers all the modern cloud tools required for the entire process from leads to accounting.
