Digia and Business Finland Agree on Analytics and AI Services, Valued at 7 MEUR
Digia and Business Finland have signed a new five-year agreement under which Digia will be responsible for Business Finland's data platform and future analytics, automation, and AI solutions. The contract is valued at seven million euros. Digia and Business Finland have long collaborated, and the partnership is expanding into new areas.
Business Finland is a public entity that provides innovation funding and internationalization services and promotes tourism and investments in Finland. Last year, Business Finland distributed 611 million euros to companies and business operators.
Data-driven management and digitalization play crucial roles in Business Finland's operations. Reporting tools and data analytics are essential for the organization's experts. In the near future, the goal is to increase the degree of automation and integrate AI more strongly into services.
Business Finland wanted to centralize analytics services with a comprehensive partner to support this development.
"Business Finland has developed its capabilities in these areas, especially over the past five years, and the goal is now to bring different functions more strongly together and complement them. This is a key part of our strong investment in using analytics and AI to enhance our impact and productivity for the benefit of Finland's business sector," says Olof Hoverfält, Head of Data Analytics and Insights at Business Finland.
"In the coming years, finding new growth areas is significant for Finland, and Business Finland's expertise and support play a key role in this. It is an honor to participate in this value chain and build data-driven management solutions together to improve the conditions for companies to succeed," says Andreas Strandman, Director of Digia's Data & Analytics business.
Eleven bids were received for the tender, and Digia won the overall evaluation with quality
Business Finland sought a partner for analytics services in the tender, including data architecture, data-driven management, and analytics development and maintenance. The analytics services include a data platform, BI reporting solutions, and advanced analytics, data science, and AI solutions.
Eleven bids were received for the tender, which were evaluated based on both price and quality points. Quality points elevated Digia to the top in the overall evaluation.
Digia has been a long-term partner of Business Finland in areas such as CRM systems and financial management systems. Additionally, Digia has implemented the Market Opportunities online service for Business Finland, where Business Finland connects Finnish companies with market opportunities outside Finland.
In terms of analytics services, Digia has previously provided Power BI and Qlik reporting for Business Finland. With the new agreement, the collaboration expands into new areas and deepens further.
