Digia achieves international ISO 27001 certification

Digia has been collaborating closely with security-critical organizations for twenty years and is committed to operating in accordance with high information security standards.

"The certificate is a continuation of our systematic work. Now our work has also been officially audited according to the international standard in addition to previous national audits. The ISO 27001 standard provides a good reference framework to continue our development work. We will continue to invest in security management", comments Digia´s CSO Mikko Jylhä.

The standard encourages continuous improvement

ISO 27001 is the international standard for information security management. It provides a framework for organizations to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve information security management. The certificate is awarded to organizations whose operations have been audited in accordance with the standard. The certificate covers in the first phase Digia's Secure and Scalable Solutions and Managed Services business areas, but Digia's entire information security management has been updated to comply with the ISO 27001 standard. The coverage of the external certification program will be expanded during 2023.

"The importance of security has grown and will grow even more. Our services and operations are already at a good level, but the work will be continued and strengthened. The standard guides and encourages continuous improvement, and our goal is that approximately half of Digia's business operations to be audited as part of the scope of the certificate by 2023", Jylhä says.
