Digia enters into a strategic partnership with MuleSoft by Salesforce to support business growth

Digia, a leading provider of integration and API services, is now an official partner of MuleSoft by Salesforce. The purpose of this strategic partnership is to widen Digia’s customer base and expand MuleSoft expertise in Finland and the region. This partnership strengthens Digia’s position as a MuleSoft supplier.

Digia has grown in the integration and API space in recent years, and the company’s wide customer base has shown a growing demand for cloud and iPaaS solutions, API utilisation, real-time solutions and AI utilisation as part of integration and API development. As part of its growth strategy, Digia is establishing itself on new technology platforms, forging new partnerships and expanding its expertise in selected technologies to respond to the growing current and future needs of its customers.  To help expand its current MuleSoft operations, Digia intends to hire and train roughly 30 new MuleSoft specialists over the next 12 months. Although competition for MuleSoft specialists is fierce, Digia understands that its strengths lie in its customer-centric approach, extensive and growing base of over 150 customers and especially capable community of approximately 200 integration and API experts.

"In the integration and API world, we are known as one of the biggest players in the Nordic countries. We can offer a wide variety of significant work and development opportunities as part of various projects and services across different industries in both international and local environments. We are a particularly strong competence cluster in the region, emphasising competence development and skill sharing. Every one of our experts develops and learns new skills during their time with us. For example, every year we select an Integration Architecture team by vote, and we offer an integration architect career path complete with final project for experts who want to undertake it”, explains Mikko Hakola, Digia’s Vice President, Integration & API.

“MuleSoft has a strong foothold in the Nordic market. The solution offers excellent iPaaS and API capabilities. The architecture and governance models enabled by the solution are in line with Digia’s vision of modern integration architecture.  For both Digia and MuleSoft, the solution opens up new opportunities to serve big clients with a potent combination of technology and service know-how”, Hakola continues.

“We are approaching this partnership with Digia with a lot of enthusiasm. Our rapid growth in recent years has created a great deal of demand for integration and API expertise. Digia is a leading provider of expertise in this sector and complements our offering excellently, making it possible to provide ever broader and more comprehensive solutions to our customers”, says MuleSoft by Salesforce Country Lead Mikko Hupli.

“As a global market leader, MuleSoft has already proven itself to be the best solution for big businesses thanks to the strong data security, monitoring and management capabilities offered by our platform. In Finland, this is quickly also becoming available to smaller organisations thanks to our new flexible pricing options, which are bringing the solution to an ever-expanding customer base. This increases demand for experts all the more. Public administration has also jumped aboard, as MuleSoft offers the best features available for on-premise, cloud and hybrid solutions that ensure data doesn’t leave Finland or the EU. Together with Digia, we aim to offer customers the best possible solutions and generate new innovations using MuleSoft”, Hupli concludes.
