Digia is committed to promoting equality – once again a Helsinki Pride partner

An innovative work community is made up of diverse individuals. By partnering with Helsinki Pride, we show our support for minorities and strengthen our diverse culture, where every Digia employee can be their authentic self.

International Pride Month is celebrated in June and culminates in Finland’s largest human rights and cultural event, Helsinki Pride Week, which this year takes place from June 23–29, 2025. As in 2024, Digia is once again a Helsinki Pride Support Partner.

Digia has been systematically advancing equality and non-discrimination for years. The Pride partnership is one way to visibly and concretely support the idea that everyone in society, working life, and at Digia can be safely and proudly themselves.

Equality work from strategy to after-work events

Digia’s equality and non-discrimination plan for this strategy period focuses on an inclusive culture and psychological safety, the normalization of English as a working language, and increasing the representation, inclusion, and career opportunities of women. Developing staff diversity and an inclusive culture—DEI topics—are part of Digia’s broader equality efforts.

Digia has a Diversity Tribe. Tribes are informal communities for Digia employees to exchange knowledge and stay connected. The Diversity Tribe organizes events and training on related topics. In honor of Pride Month, the tribe is hosting after-work events in various locations. These events aim to create space for discussion on DEI themes and to promote a diverse and healthy work culture through open dialogue and spending time together.

Pride Month will also be visible at Digia through rainbow-themed visuals on Digia.com and other digital channels, rainbow flags at Helsinki offices, and rainbow lanyards and laptop stickers distributed to employees.
