Digia renews Musti Group's ERP in the Nordic and Baltic countries

Digia is replacing the current retail ERP systems of the leading pet supply company in the Nordic countries with modern cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology.

Musti Group is the leading pet supply company in the Nordic countries, with more than 400 stores in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Baltic countries.

To harmonise and develop its business, the company will work with Digia to renew the current retail systems of its seven subsidiaries operating in six different countries with a comprehensive Microsoft Dynamics 365 business system.

"Guaranteed system availability and performance are critically important to us. While a cloud transition is inevitable for everyone, we didn't want to treat this as just a technical exercise—we aimed to improve operational efficiency and scalability and start leveraging AI in the future for Musti," says Musti Group's CIO Carl Borg.

"Dynamics 365 recent developments and capabilities, and that Microsoft now ranks as a market leader in ERP by Gartner, and our daily tools are already largely based on Microsoft technology, we chose to go with Microsoft as the best fit for Musti group and our future strategy", Borg adds.

The first phase of the three-year project includes financial, trade, and supply chain processes. Later, logistics and production will also be included.

"The new business platform harmonises Musti Group's operating models and processes in the desired way and significantly improves knowledge-based management and performance. The challenge has been the controllability and transparency of the business, as several separate systems have been in use," says Jarkko Savolainen, Digia's Vice President.

Multi-channel customer service is possible with the new ERP

The new ERP solution also plays a key role in developing the company's customer experience and service.

“Consumers' purchasing behaviour is changing, and demands are increasing. Musti Group wants to serve its Nordic customers in all channels as best as possible. The company is growing strongly and is actively developing its customer service and purchasing channels to meet consumer needs. The new ERP system is the engine of this entity, which supports the implementation of the strategy in a multi-channel commerce environment," Savolainen says.

With the modern, cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, Musti Group will also have access to the most advanced artificial intelligence solutions.

AI can, for example, help personalise the shopping experience. It can also help with customer identification, purchase analysis, summary, and upselling.

"It is great to develop Musti Group's international business in such a significant project. We are one of Finland's leading and most experienced Dynamics 365 experts, and now also in the Nordic countries. We have strong references from international deliveries and are also looking for even stronger growth from them," Savolainen adds.
