The acquisition of Mavisystems makes Digia the largest provider of Microsoft Dynamics in Finland
On 5 July 2018, Digia Plc and the owners of Mavisystems Oy signed an agreement by which Digia Plc acquires the entire share capital of Mavisystems Oy and Mirosys Oy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mavisystems. The transaction is estimated to be closed on 1 August 2018.
The net sales of Mavisystems Oy and Mirosys Oy, specialised in demanding Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems and CRM solutions, totalled approximately EUR 3.2 million in the financial period that ended in June 2017. The companies employ 34 people. Mavisystems and Mirosys have been cooperating with Microsoft for over 10 years, and the companies’ experts have experience of more than 250 deliveries in different industries. These deliveries have typically been Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dynamics 365 for Sales, Dynamics 365 for Field Service and Dynamics 365 for Project Service Automation (PSA) projects.
“Our strategy is to develop our customers’ business by exploiting the opportunities offered by technology extensively and reliably. The strength of Digia is its extensive competence and its offering, which covers integrated services, data analytics, business systems and 24/7 support, which is becoming increasingly critical. The acquisition of Mavisystems helps us enrich our offering in the Microsoft Dynamics area, which is one of the major platform solutions in the development of digital business. Reliable platforms are the core of online business. Without them it is impossible to realise the benefits of digitalisation. The future is built on smart solutions and cloud technologies. By developing and applying them, we can create new business for our customers and help them improve their profitability,” says Timo Levoranta, Digia’s President and CEO.
“Mavisystems has grown to a size that requires a new kind of approach. Together with Digia, we will be able to respond more quickly to the changes in the growing market and to provide our customers with even more diverse competence and service. Mavisystems and Digia share the same way of operating as a comprehensive long-term partner for the customer. The technologies we use complement each other in an excellent manner and, in addition, Digia will offer our employees exciting new accounts and career opportunities,” says Timo Juhala, CEO of Mavisystems.
“Digia is now the largest provider of Microsoft Dynamics in Finland. By joining forces with Mavisystems and Mirosys, we will be able to bring all the benefits of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system to our customers. We also want to further strengthen our position as Microsoft’s partner. At the beginning of June, Microsoft awarded Digia as the Digitalization Partner of the Year. In their grounds, they highlighted our ability to add value to our customers with our digitalisation solutions by combining many aspects of Microsoft Dynamics products with integrations, analytics and artificial intelligence in a visionary manner,” says Heikki Honkala, Senior Vice President of Industry Solutions at Digia.
The parties have agreed not to publish the acquisition price. The transaction will have no effect on the employment of the personnel of Mavisystems Oy or Mirosys Oy.
