Valtori and Digia’s long-standing cooperation to develop and maintain the VIA integration platform continues

The Government’s ICT centre Valtori has chosen Digia to continue as their partner in the development and maintenance of the VIA integration platform for the next agreement period.

Digia continues as Valtori’s long-standing partner in the task of developing and maintaining the VIA integration platform. The agreement was signed following an internal call for tenders, "IT-konsultointi 2021–2025 (DPS)", on Hansel Ltd.’s Dynamic Purchasing System. The duration of the partnership agreement consists of a fixed three-year term and an optional two-year term, and its value is approximately EUR 1.5 million.

Valtori’s Common Integration Platform VIA is a centralised messaging service that allows governmental organisations to reduce the number of connections between information systems and makes them easier to monitor. VIA is a core component of central government e-services.

Digia develops, maintains, monitors and produces the VIA integration platform under Valtori’s guidance and in close collaboration with their teams of experts. Instead of delivering a single project, Digia acts as a comprehensive and reliable integration service partner, producing functional, efficient and secure integration services for central government.

Digia has extensive expertise in integration solutions, modern software development and data network technologies and is capable of offering the systems expertise Valtori needs in an agile way.

“The VIA platform streamlines and increases the effectiveness of everyday central government operations by centralising and clarifying agencies’ integration solutions. The long-term partnership with Digia is mutually beneficial. We believe that our collaboration will continue without a hitch in the future, as well,” says Tomi Näränen, Product Manager at Valtori.

“As Finland’s leading integration provider, we have been supporting the digitalisation of central government for years. Technology and digitalisation affect the functions of government on a fundamental level, which highlights the significance of the VIA environment in our society even more. It’s a joy to continue our close and effective cooperation with Valtori and provide customers with ever-better services,” says Janne Tuominen, Senior Vice President at Digia.
