Varma and Digia expand their cooperation – stronger cooperation is part of Digia's strategy

After several years of integration development work, Varma and Digia are deepening their cooperation through a new framework agreement.

This agreement places all of Digia's expertise at Varma's disposal, for example, consulting, projects and continuous services. The new framework agreement is a continuation to the modernisation of Varma's core insurance system, which was launched earlier this year.

Cooperation founded on integration development

Digia has been one of Varma's integration providers since 2012. Digia has helped Varma by, for example, providing Fast Track consulting for integration architecture, which led to the selection of a new integration platform.

With the assistance that Digia is providing through integration cooperation and the ongoing modernisation of Varma's core system, Varma will be able to offer more flexible and comprehensive services to its partners and customers. The work harnesses the positive experiences gained from DevOps practices used in earlier application development work.

“Digia has provided agile support for Varma's integration work. We expect the level of expertise to remain high and enable the flexible development of Varma's services over the coming years,” says Varma's CIO, Tiina Kurki.

Stronger cooperation is part of Digia's strategy

Digia's updated strategy for customers and personnel can be summed up in three main themes: industry-adapted offerings, digitising customer services and processes, and expanding and diversifying service business.

This new dimension to cooperation with Varma is part of Digia's goal to deepen the company’s understanding of its customers' businesses and forge long-term customer relationships.
