A Strategic Switch That Delivered – Broman Group Chose Digia as a partner for Dynamics 365

Broman Group – the company behind well-known chains such as Motonet and AD Varaosamaailma – made a strategic decision in 2024 to change its Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner. Digia earned their trust by understanding the company’s goals and delivering the transition on time and within budget. The switch has significantly improved service quality and employee satisfaction.

Broman Group, a company specialising in automotive and spare parts retail, implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in 2020 and was generally satisfied with the system. However, in 2024, the company decided to transfer the system’s maintenance to Digia.

The threshold for changing partners was high – but Digia made a strong impression from the outset.

“Digia immediately grasped what we were aiming for and how they could support us. That same mindset and understanding have defined our collaboration ever since,” says Antti Varis, CFO at Broman Group.

Laying the Groundwork with Process Mapping

As part of its business development roadmap, Broman Group wanted to document its internal processes in detail – and chose to do so with Digia before the transition project began.

“I asked Digia whether, if we were going to map our processes anyway, we could do it more thoroughly. They had the right expertise, and now we have nearly 150 process diagrams that form a solid foundation for future development,” Varis explains.

Experienced Project Team Delivered on Time and on Budget

The transition of Dynamics 365 maintenance to Digia was completed on schedule and within budget.

While the system environment itself remained largely unchanged, integrations were rebuilt to be more transparent. This required some effort, but the result was a solution free from vendor lock-in and flexible for future development.

“We were assigned an experienced team whose professionalism and confidence were evident throughout. They steered the project firmly to completion. Even when we had to tackle difficult conversations, it only deepened our trust in their expertise,” Varis says.

Improved Employee Experience

According to Varis, the most significant improvement since the partner switch has been the quality of service. Broman Group can now rely on receiving expert support quickly and efficiently, with a clear focus on solutions. Trust is further strengthened by the fact that several key Digia experts from the project team have continued in the ongoing services team.

Feedback from Varis’s own team confirms the decision was the right one. Work satisfaction has improved, tools are more effective, and no one is left to struggle alone. Digia has even provided practical tips on Dynamics 365 features that make everyday work easier.

“We’ve developed a strong sense of trust that Digia will support us in any situation. It’s clear they truly value our partnership.”

Supporting Broman Group’s Growth Journey

Varis believes that transferring the D365 environment to Digia has accelerated Broman Group’s development. With the fundamentals now in place, the finance team is better equipped to support the company’s growth story.

In the coming years, Broman Group plans to focus on developing and expanding its business. The broader use of Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft ecosystem is expected to play a key role in this journey.

“We believe there’s still a lot of untapped potential in Microsoft’s solutions. And now we have a partner who can help us make the most of them. We fully intend to continue working with Digia,” Varis concludes.
