HSL selected Digia to develop APIs with a 3 MEUR contract
The cooperation between Digia and Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) is expanding. In the future, Digia will enable HSL to secure access to data for data utilisation and the development of digital services.
"We want to provide our customers with better, more efficient services and promote sustainable mobility. Modern systems are being integrated, and more and more data is being transferred from the vehicle to the end customer. We must invest in efficient and centralised API and integration solutions to continue to offer our customers the best services," says Petteri Huppunen, Head of Unit at HSL.
HSL's framework agreement partner, Digia, is Finland's largest provider of integration and API services and one of the largest in the Nordic countries.
The company has solid experience implementing socially and safety-critical integrations and interfaces and is a strong partner in the transport sector. Digia is also developing HSL's mobile application.
"The importance of data in the operations of organisations is becoming increasingly significant, and its effective use is critical for organisations. With our expertise and productised services, we can ensure modern and secure interface and integration services and data secure and efficient use in business development," says Senior Vice President Janne Tuominen, Director of the Managed Solutions business unit at Digia.
"It's great to be able to deepen our cooperation with HSL and develop their API services to serve the business even better."
The cooperation will first develop the APIs for HSL's internal digital services, but the tendered management services will also play a key role in HSL's ticketing system reform.
